The Broward Young Democrats may endorse candidates in various elections within Broward County boundaries such as municipal, county, and state races.
In some cases, BYD may award "Candidate Distinctions" to one or multiple candidates in the same race, giving recommendation of the candidate for their positive attributes and history supporting young democrats without explicitly endorsing them.

In races where candidates are unopposed, they must obtain 50%+1 of the votes to achieve an endorsement (uncommitted option will be available).
In races where the results between two candidates are within 5% of each other and both candidates are of standard BYD age and BYD members, the membership will have the option to dual endorse.
